"We had an unforgettable two nights at Africa on Foot. The staff are friendly, and the overall atmosphere encouraged us to sit back and relax in the wilderness. We were even lucky enough to view rhino, elephant, lion and cheetah on our trip! Africa on Foot is a fantastic choice to experience a safari, especially if you are interested in enjoying yourself whilst helping the environment. A close to nature experience we will never forget." - Jaqcui & Ken, August 2012

The first element one notices about Africa on Foot, is the utmost quiet around the camp. No electricity (Africa on Foot is solar powered) allows for animals and birds to chat, with us lucky enough to lend an ear to their peaceful sound, whilst enjoying our welcome drink.

With just 5 rooms, Africa on Foot caters to a total of 10 guests at one time, ensuring an atmosphere of peace and privacy in the wilderness.
The thatched rooms are decorated in a rustic theme, adding to the Eco Friendly feel of the entire camp. Meals are served in an open walled dining room, where guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast, light lunch, and South African style dinner and dessert.

Now, what makes Africa on Foot unique is their approach to safaris. Keeping with traditional ways, Africa on Foot offers guests walking safaris each morning, allowing visitors to experience South Africa’s wildlife up close and personal on foot. Walks are conducted by highly qualified guides, and are suitable for all fitness levels. After lunch and a mid-day siesta, the afternoon calls for a game drive in an open air Land Cruiser to experience the land and the animals from a vehicle. Afterwards, guests are encouraged to warm up next to the blazing fire in the open air boma, and relax with a pre-dinner drink.

To top it all off, and to give guests an even closer to nature feeling, Africa on Foot offers a secluded tree house overlooking a spot of water, where guests are invited to spend a night during their stay.
