LODGE TRACKERS RECOMMENDATION:
"After visiting nThambo Tree Camp, we were sincerely sad to leave. Within just two days, we had been made to feel incredibly welcome, and had one of the best game viewing times of our entire Lodge Trackers careers. Our sightings included not only the Big 5, but Cheetah, Wild Dog, and even the famed White Lion – which also included a rare lion fight! This was coupled with an incredibly knowledgeable ranger, whom was not afraid to share stories and answer every one of our questions. On our second night, a herd of thirty elephants decided to drink from the lodge pool, not more than 3 metres away from where we were sitting, after which two honey badgers also made a visit into the camp in search of left overs. Nthambo Tree Camp offers guests a supreme mix of luxury, relaxation, and outstanding wildlife viewing at an unbeatable price. We recommend nThambo Tree Camp for anyone searching for a true wilderness experience and the memory of a lifetime." Ken & Jacqui, August 2012

Ensuring privacy, nThambo provides just 5 secluded chalets, heightened above the plains through the use of stilts, and each including their own en-suite bathroom and comfortable twin or king beds.

The morning at nThamo begins with hot coffee, tea, and rusks, before setting out on a morning drive in one of the comfortable open air vehicles, complete with blankets to keep one warm until the sun heats up. During the drive, a refreshment stop is made where guests can stretch their legs and enjoy a warm drink whilst enjoying the wilderness. After 2-3 hours, arrival back at the lodge is met with a continental and cooked breakfast. Between 10am and 3pm, guests have the opportunity to relax in whichever way they may please, or take part in a bush walk to learn more about the South African environment and all the inhabitants that call it home. 3pm is shared with lunch, after which guests are encouraged to grab a jacket and make their way to the game drive vehicle for the afternoon & evening night drive, met with sun downers half way. At around 7pm, guests are invited into the open air boma to enjoy a roaring fire and a pre-dinner drink before settling down for the last meal of the day. This provides all with an opportunity to discuss the day's exciting happenings. After dinner and dessert, guests are welcome to lounge around listening to the sounds of the night, or to do as they please and retire to bed to experience a rejuvenating sleep in their comfortable, mosquito netted bed - complete with turn-down service!
