Elephant herds, impala and kudu are regular visitors along the river banks, with extraordinary birdlife. Spend time enjoying the African bush from our pool deck, your private deck or enjoy a walk through our camp garden.

The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in Southern Africa covering over 60 000 hectares. The Klaserie is also part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The Klaserie is a member of the Association of Private Nature Reserves( APNR), a cooperative organisation established to coordinate the interests of its members and to act as a single body in interacting with government entities. The association comprises Klaserie, Timbavati, The Umbabat and Balule. The KPNR was established in 1969 and was officially proclaimed a nature reserve in 1972 with Jan de Necker as the founding chairman and Van Reenen Van Vuuren as the first warden.
